According to data recently published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), as of May 2020 there were just over 34,700 chiropractors employed in the United States. About 1,300 of those employed as chiropractors lived in the six-state New England region. For chiropractors, pay levels in the region are mixed. About 70% of the region's chiropractors live in Connecticut, Massachusetts or New Hampshire, states where the annual mean wage for chiropractors top the national average. Connecticut, in fact, ranked 5th nationally for chiropractor annual mean wages. However, elsewhere in the region chiropractor pay falls below the national average.
