The 21-22 U.S. News & World Report survey of American hospitals rated over 900 hospitals for their proficiency and effectiveness at delivering adult cancer care. The study rated hospitals on various metrics related to the outcomes for their adult cancer patients, the scale of their adult cancer care services and programs, and the amount of professional recognition garnered by a hospital from within the cancer care community. Five hospitals in the U.S. Southwest rated among the top 50 U.S. hospitals for adult cancer care in the 21-22 survey, including the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which was rated the top cancer hospital in the nation.
