I think patients should consider factors such as specialized care, patient outcomes, and quality ratings, not just size. In many ways, choosing a hospital is like evaluating the slope of a mountain—you need to understand the full landscape before deciding on the best path forward. A smaller hospital with outstanding expertise in a specific field may sometimes be a better choice than one with a larger bed count.
