The most current occupational statistical data available from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) put pharmacy technician employment at more than 460,000 as of May 2023. With nearly 62,000 pharmacy technicians employed, the six-state Far Western U.S. region accounted for about 13% of U.S. pharmacy technician employment.
