The U.S. had more than 476,000 health service management jobs as of May 2022 according to the latest occupational employment data available from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). As of May 2022, over 71,000 health services managers were working in the six-state Far West region of the country. BLS data revealed the region to be one of the best in the nation for health services management pay. The median annual wage level, which is the mid-point on the wage scale that divides the upper and lower half of wage earners, exceeded the national average for health services managers by at least 11% in every state in the Far West, except for Nevada.
