May 2020 data released earlier this year by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) revealed that over 415,000 Americans were working as pharmacy technicians. With over 19,000 pharmacy technicians employed, the six-state New England region accounted for about 4.6% of U.S. pharmacy technician employment.
