The 22-23 U.S. News & World Report survey of American hospitals rated nearly 800 hospitals for their effectiveness in delivering rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from severe afflictions. The study analyzed hospitals on various metrics, ranging from the medical outcomes for their rehabilitation patients to the scope of their rehabilitation programs to the amount of professional recognition attained by a hospital from within the rehabilitation services community. Eleven hospitals in the Southeastern U.S. rated among the 50 best U.S. hospitals for rehabilitation care in the 22-23 survey, including Shepherd Center in Atlanta, which was rated the eighth best rehabilitation hospital in the nation.
