Data recently released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) put the employment of radiologic technologists and technicians in the United States at nearly 207,000 as of May 2020. About 33,400 radiologic technologists and technicians were employed in the five-state Great Lakes region at that time. BLS data showed the region to be a relatively subpar one for radiologic tech pay with no state in the region recording annual mean wage levels for radiologic techs that was above the national average.
