In the most recent (20-21) U.S. News & World Report rankings of American hospitals, just under 600 hospitals were evaluated for their proficiency and effectiveness in delivering adult cardiology care to patients. In this study, hospitals were graded on various metrics related to their patient experience and outcomes, the size of their adult cardiology programs, and the level of distinction earned by these hospitals among professionals in the adult cardiology care community. Among the top 50 rated U.S. hospitals for adult cardiology care in 20-21, only two were based in New England. That said, both were rated in the top 10 nationally, making New England one of only four regions of the country with at least two hospitals rated in the top 10 nationally for adult cardiology care.
