More than 790 hospitals were evaluated for their proficiency in delivering adult cardiology services in the most recent (22-23) U.S. News & World Report rankings of American hospitals. In this analysis, hospitals were scored on assorted metrics related to the outcomes of their adult cardiology patients, the scope of their adult cardiology programs, and the degree of professional recognition they've received from the wider cardiology community. Among the top 50 ranked U.S. hospitals for adult cardiology in 22-23, only two were based in the six-state New England region. However, both New England hospitals that made the top 50 cardiology rankings were rated among the ten best cardiology hospitals in the nation.
