In the most recent (2022-23) U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) survey of U.S. hospitals, among the 50 hospitals that earned distinction for being the best in the U.S. for pediatric heart care, eight were based in the Mid-Eastern region of the country.  This group included three hospitals that were graded among the ten best children's hospitals in the U.S. for pediatric heart care.  While other Mid-Eastern region hospitals may provide pediatric cardiology and heart surgery services, the eight hospitals that earned a spot in the USNWR national survey stand apart as the top ranked pediatric heart hospitals in the Mid-Eastern U.S.:
