In the most recent U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) rankings of American hospitals, only 89 children's hospitals received national recognition in at least one pediatric specialty, out of ten such specialties studied in the survey.  No children's hospitals in the Great Plains region ranked among the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the nation, but eight earned top 50 national recognition in at least one of the ten pediatric specialties examined.  Let's take a summary look at the eight children's hospitals in the Great Plains region that earned recognition in the newest USNWR survey:
