According to data released early this year by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), as of May 2022, there were just over 37,700 chiropractors working in the United States. BLS data further indicated that 4,870 chiropractors were employed in the six-state Far Western region of the country. For chiropractors, pay levels in the region were decidedly mixed. Only about three-fourths of chiropractors employed in the Far Western U.S. lived in states where the median annual wage, which is the point on the wage scale that divides the upper and lower half of earners, for chiropractors was higher than the national average of $75,380.
