As of May 2022, there were just over 37,700 chiropractors employed in the U.S. according to data recently published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The five-state Rocky Mountain region accounted for 1,850 of those chiropractor jobs. According to BLS data, the annual mean wage for chiropractors in all five Rocky Mountain states was below the national average. That said, BLS data indicated that the median annual wage, which divides the top and bottom half of wage earners, for chiropractors topped the national average in two states in the region, Colorado and Idaho. A closer examination of BLS data from May 2022 yields the following details about chiropractor employment in the Rocky Mountain region:
